PhotoScape X

The absence of software updates can cause PhotoScape X to crash. It is recommended to install the latest available updates for developer products.

Restarting your computer is often an effective solution to resolve various common problems. Therefore, it is recommended to do so before making any changes to the software configuration.

Setting a default program by file type in Windows

1. Right-click your file, then navigate to the "Open With" option and click "Choose Another Application" to continue;
2. Find the PhotoScape X application in the pop-up window and select it as your preferred program;
3. Select the "Always use this application" check box and click "OK" to save your selection as the default application for opening files.

Change the default app that opens a file on Mac

1. Right click or use Control + Left Click on the desired file to access a dropdown menu of actions;
2. Select "Open in application" and click "Other";
3. At the bottom of the window, you will find the "Enable" menu. Default, will be set to "Recommended Programs";
4. Within this menu, select "All Programs" and then locate PhotoScape X. Check the box next to "Always open in app" to set it as the default program.
