TextMaker

The absence of software updates can cause TextMaker to crash. It is recommended to install the latest available updates for developer products.

A computer restart is often the key to solving numerous common problems. That’s why, it is recommended to restart the computer before making any changes to the software settings.

Changing Default Programs in Windows

1. Right-click your file, then navigate to the "Open With" option and click "Choose Another Application" to continue;
2. In the pop-up window, select the TextMaker application;
3. Check the "Always use this app" checkbox and click "OK".

Change default apps on Mac

1. Right click or Control + left click on the desired file;
2. Select "Open in application" and click "Other";
3. Look at the bottom of the window, where you will see the "Enable" menu. "Recommended Programs" will be selected as the default option;
4. In this menu, select "All Programs", then find TextMaker and check the box next to "Always open in the application."
