Changing the default program in Windows

  1. Right-click on your file and choose the "Open With" option. Then click "Choose another app" to continue the process;
  2. Inside the popup window, scroll through the list of applications and specifically choose TeXworks as the application to associate with your file;
  3. Check the "Always use this application" checkbox, and then click "OK" to apply the selected application as the default for opening files.

  1. Right-click or use Control + Left-click on the desired file to open a menu where you can choose from multiple actions;
  2. Select "Open in application" and click "Other";
