How can I make Microsoft Works the default program to open files?
Change default programs in Windows
- Start by right-clicking on your file, then select "Open With" and continue by clicking "Choose another app" from the options provided;
- Inside the popup window, scroll through the list of applications and specifically choose Microsoft Works as the application to associate with your file;
- Check the "Always use this application" checkbox, and then click "OK" to apply the selected application as the default for opening files.

- Right-click or use Control + Left-click on the desired file to open a menu where you can choose from multiple actions;
- Choose "Open in Application" and click "Other";
- Scroll down to the bottom of the window, and there you will find the "Enable" menu. The default selection is "Recommended Programs";
- Choose "All Programs" in this menu and search for Microsoft Works. Check the box next to "Always open in app" to make it the default program.
