Restarting your computer is often an effective solution to resolve various common problems. Therefore, it is recommended to do so before making any changes to the software configuration.

Changing Default Programs in Windows

1. Right-click on your file and choose the "Open With" option. Then click "Choose another app" to continue the process;
2. In the pop-up window, find and select the XTrkCAD application from the available options;
3. Make sure the "Always use this app" checkbox is checked and click "OK" to confirm your choice as the default app for opening files.

Change the default app for a file type in Mac

1. Right-click or Control + left-click on the desired file to open a menu of available actions;
2. Select "Open in application" and click "Other";
3. Next, at the bottom of the window, you will see the "Enable" menu, in which "Recommended Programs" is selected by default;
4. Choose "All Programs" in this menu and search for XTrkCAD. Check the box next to "Always open in app" to set it as the default option.
