Setting a default program by file type in Windows
- To get started, right-click your file, then choose "Open With" and select "Choose Another Application" from the context menu;
- From the list of applications in the pop-up window, find and select Nero Classic as your desired application;
- Check the "Always use this app" checkbox, and then click "OK" to set your chosen app as the default for opening files.
Change Default Program on Mac
- Initiate a right click or use Control + left click on the desired file to open a menu where you can select various actions;
- Select "Open in application" and click "Other";
- Look towards the bottom of the window, where you will find the "Enable" menu. "Recommended programs" will be the default selection;
- Select "All Programs" from this menu and proceed to search for Nero Classic. Check the box next to "Always open in app" to set it as the default option.
