- Right-click on your file and choose the "Open With" option. Then click "Choose another app" to continue the process;
- Inside the popup window, scroll through the list of applications and specifically choose Google Docs as the application to associate with your file;
- Check the "Always use this application" checkbox, and then click "OK" to apply the selected application as the default for opening files.
