Effective Solutions for DesktopX Problems

How can I make DesktopX the default program to open files?

Change a default app in Windows

  1. Start by right-clicking on your file, then select the "Open with" option and choose "Choose another app" from the menu that appears;
  2. From the list of applications in the pop-up window, find and select DesktopX as your desired application;
  3. Check the "Always use this app" checkbox, and then click "OK" to set your chosen app as the default for opening files.

Change Default Program on Mac

  1. Initiate a right click or use Control + left click on the desired file to open a menu where you can select various actions;
  2. Choose "Open in Application" and click "Other";
  3. In the lower section of the window, you’ll find the "Enable" menu, with "Recommended Programs" pre-selected as the default option;
  4. Select "All Programs" in this menu, and then search for DesktopX. Check the box next to "Always open in app" to make sure it’s the default option.

Why does DesktopX quit or crash unexpectedly?

The likely cause of DesktopX crashing is lack of software updates. Install the latest updates available for developer products.

A simple restart of your computer can often fix many common problems, which is why it is the recommended first step before making any adjustments to your software settings.
